Is MapleConcierge compliant for Canadian PMs?
Yes. Data is hosted in Canada with privacy-first defaults. We support Canadian lease flows, tenant receipts, and bilingual communications where needed.
Can I migrate from my current system?
We provide guided onboarding, CSV imports for properties/tenants/leases, and optional concierge migration to reduce downtime.
Do you support maintenance workflows?
Yes. Tenants can submit requests; staff can triage, assign vendors, and track completion. Photos and updates are logged for audit.
How do I get started?

Is MapleConcierge really Canadian?
Yes. MapleConcierge is founded, owned, and operated in Canada by Joel & Nanz Inc. in New Brunswick. The software is built and hosted in Canada, your data stays in Canada (Canadian data residency, PIPEDA-compliant), and support comes from our Canadian team.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan (CAD $0/month) covers up to 2 rental units and includes tenant management & rent tracking, document storage, a hosted website at yourname.mapleconcierge.com, and a tenant self-service portal. It is great for solo landlords and you can start with no credit card.
How does the tenant portal work?
Each tenant (and guest) gets a self-service portal with a simplified profile to pay rent, submit support requests, and view their records. On Professional and up, the tenant portal can run on your own custom domain.
How do you collect rent?
MapleConcierge tracks rent and supports online payments (pre-authorized debit/ACH and credit card) plus automatic Interac e-Transfer matching with invoice mark-paid. Money flows straight to your bank account — we never hold tenant funds. Manual and cash payments are always free.
Can I sign leases online?
Yes. Digital Lease Signing provides secure PDF signing with provincial lease templates built in. MapleConcierge clients get 50% off MapleSecure for signing.
Do you manage owners and statements?
Yes. Property & Owner Management includes a complete property database, an owner portal, and a statement-of-work (SOW) workflow, so your owners keep visibility into their asset.
Do we get a website?
Yes. Every account includes a free hosted website at yourname.mapleconcierge.com (Essential & below), and you can use your own custom domain on Professional and up.
How does the AI help?
Maple-AI automatically generates your website copy, property descriptions, and documents. Higher plans also add AI tenant screening to speed up applications.
Do you screen tenants?
Yes. From the Professional plan up, MapleConcierge includes tenant screening and applications so you can vet applicants before signing.
Do you offer reporting and analytics?
Yes. Professional and higher plans include advanced reporting & analytics to track rent, occupancy, and portfolio performance.
Is MapleConcierge bilingual?
Yes. The platform and tenant communications work in both English and French, which suits bilingual portfolios and New Brunswick / Quebec requirements.
How long does migration from Buildium or a spreadsheet take?
Most portfolios are live in under a week. You import properties, tenants, and leases by CSV, or we handle a concierge migration for you. Your existing data (balances, leases, contacts) carries over — nothing is lost in the move.
What is included in each plan?
The Free plan covers up to 2 units (tenant management, rent tracking, hosted website, tenant portal). Essential adds more units and document storage. Professional adds tenant screening, custom domain, advanced reporting, and the owner portal. Higher tiers raise unit and automation limits. See the Pricing page for the current breakdown.
Is there a limit on the number of units?
The Free plan is capped at 2 units. Paid plans raise the limit by tier, and large portfolios (500+ units) are handled with a custom tier. You only pay for the capacity you actually need.
What payment methods can tenants use?
Tenants can pay by pre-authorized debit (PAD), Interac e-Transfer, and credit card. Interac transfers are matched automatically and the invoice is marked paid. Money flows straight to your bank account — MapleConcierge never holds tenant funds. Manual and cash payments stay free.
How do work orders and maintenance requests work?
Tenants submit a request from their portal, with photos. Staff triage it, create a work order, assign a vendor, and track progress to completion. Every step is timestamped and logged for audit, and the owner can see the history.
How do owner statements work?
Owners get a portal where they see rent collected, expenses, and their building balance, with periodic statements. The statement-of-work (SOW) flow documents what you manage on their behalf, for full transparency into their asset.
Where is my data stored, and are you PIPEDA-compliant?
Your data is hosted in Canada and stays in Canada (Canadian data residency). MapleConcierge is built around PIPEDA principles: privacy-first defaults, controlled retention, and a designated privacy officer. That is a real advantage over US platforms that store your data outside Canada.
How are my data and my tenants' data kept secure?
Data is encrypted in transit, access is scoped by role (staff, owner, tenant), and payments run through regulated processors — we do not store card numbers. Because we never hold tenant funds, money never sits in our accounts.
Can I cancel and export my data?
Yes. There is no long-term contract — you can cancel any time. Your data is yours and you can export it (properties, tenants, leases, payments) in a standard format. No data hostage-taking.
